“extraordinary: the stan romanek story” debuts on Netflix July 3!

j3FILMS and The Orchard are proud to announce that extraordinary: the stan romanek story will begin streaming on Netflix Monday, July 3, 2017.

j3FILMS would like to heap tons of praise on the distribution team at The Orchard for all their hard work to help us bring this important story to the widest audience possible. Our goal from day one was not to make a film about UFO phenomena but to share a human story that would hopefully allow audiences to get a glimpse into what it’s like to be an experiencer.

Stan Romanek’s story is polarizing, and we knew that going in. As you can see by the reviews of the film on Amazon and iTunes, people are either intrigued or they dislike it. We made the film to stimulate conversation among the widest audience possible in effort to move the discussion into the mainstream. Haters gonna hate, and that’s fine. But there’s a reason for negative responses, and getting the good along with the bad out in the open creates an lively discourse, and there is nothing wrong with that either.

If you’ve already watched the film, thank you. If you’ve been waiting for it to show up on Netflix, today’s you’re lucky day! We encourage all previous viewers to gather friends and watch the movie again. Once the film is over, ask one simple question to begin an engaging conversation: What if this is all real?

If you don’t have Netflix, the film is still available on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Xbox, PlayStation and a variety of other digital platforms. Just click this link to watch the film.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported this project and all who desire to keep the conversation going. Cheers!

Partnership with The Orchard takes “Extraordinary” global

extraordinary the stan romanek story

When Jack Roth brought the idea of a documentary project about this guy in Colorado who had several abduction experiences, I wasn’t exactly champing at the bit to dive in. Seems like yesterday, but it was eight years ago this spring.

It didn’t take long to see the intrigue after Jack passed along a rabbit hole of links about Stan Romanek, which led to several phone calls, a handful of Audrey experiences,  visits to Loveland, Colorado, and recognition there was a worthy story to be told.

While Stan’s evidence was voluminous and jaw-dropping, I was just as fascinated by the emotional story and the struggle to overcome obstacles and constant ridicule. I kept asking myself “Who would willingly choose to be publicly chastised the way Stan is?” He’s just an ordinary guy facing extraordinary circumstances. This human element made Stan’s experiences accessible to everyone, and intensified our desire to reach the widest audience possible.

Now we can.

The Orchard Film DistributionAfter the trials and tribulations associated with Stan’s arrest in 2014, we saw the distribution door slam shut, forcing us into self-distribution mode. Fast forward to January  2017 and The Orchard‘s passionate desire to exclusively represent the film for global distribution pushed the door wipe open.

The journey has been long, challenging, frustrating, disappointing and enlightening. But we never gave up on the goal to reach the widest audience possible.

Today, that goal is a possibility with the worldwide launch of extraordinary: the stan romanek story. This film is now available on an expansive list of digital distribution platforms – iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, XBox, Hulu, VUDU, PlayStation Video, Vimeo and on-demand video from a variety of cable providers. It’s now out there for all to see, if they so choose.

We understand this is a polarizing subject, and we know we’ll see our fair share of ridicule, too. We also know the film will open eyes, stimulate conversation and have many people wondering:

“What if this is all true?”
