Partnership with The Orchard takes “Extraordinary” global
j3FILMS • Apr 07, 2017

When Jack Roth brought the idea of a documentary project about this guy in Colorado who had several abduction experiences, I wasn’t exactly champing at the bit to dive in. Seems like yesterday, but it was eight years ago this spring.

It didn’t take long to see the intrigue after Jack passed along a rabbit hole of links about Stan Romanek, which led to several phone calls, a handful of Audrey experiences, visits to Loveland, Colorado, and recognition there was a worthy story to be told.

While Stan’s evidence was voluminous and jaw-dropping, I was just as fascinated by the emotional story and the struggle to overcome obstacles and constant ridicule. I kept asking myself “Who would willingly choose to be publicly chastised the way Stan is?” He’s just an ordinary guy facing extraordinary circumstances. This human element made Stan’s experiences accessible to everyone, and intensified our desire to reach the widest audience possible.

Now we can.

After the trials and tribulations associated with Stan’s arrest in 2014, we saw the distribution door slam shut, forcing us into self-distribution mode. Fast forward to January 2017 and The Orchard‘s passionate desire to exclusively represent the film for global distribution pushed the door wipe open.

The journey has been long, challenging, frustrating, disappointing and enlightening. But we never gave up on the goal to reach the widest audience possible.

Today, that goal is a possibility with the worldwide launch of extraordinary: the stan romanek story. This film is now available on an expansive list of digital distribution platforms – iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, XBox, Hulu, VUDU, PlayStation Video, Vimeo and on-demand video from a variety of cable providers. It’s now out there for all to see, if they so choose.

We understand this is a polarizing subject, and we know we’ll see our fair share of ridicule, too. We also know the film will open eyes, stimulate conversation and have many people wondering:

“What if this is all true?”

Is the SETI Institute wasting its time looking “out there” for extraterrestrial radio signals when they have been “here,” interacting with us in various ways, for decades … and possibly even millennia?
